Quality costume jewellery inspired by Joaquín Sorolla
Although RAS Bisutería draws from many sources, architecture, art and nature are its main inspirations. In this case, it was inspired by the impressionism of the Valencian painter Joaquín Sorolla and his passion for flowers, which is reflected in much of his work.
In 1911, the artist designed the decoration of his house in Madrid. To do so, he carefully selected various types of flowers in shades of white, pink and violet. Most of the flowers, plants, trees, sculptures and tiles that ended up adorning his so-called Andalusian garden came from Andalusia.
Málaga and biznaga
In addition to the accent, as Lola Flores used to say, Málaga has many other symbols that make it unique and special. The biznaga is one of these emblems, a composition of jasmine flowers that sweetly perfumes the Malaga summer.
It comes from Arabic and means gift from God. Perhaps that is why it was destined to be Malaga's most traditional souvenir.
Where to find biznagas? It is common to see the biznagueros selling them around the city, dressed in the typical costume: white shirt, black trousers and red sash. In Pedro Luis Alonso Gardens there is a statue in homage to all of them.
Do you dare to wear the biznaga with pride?
Remember that, in addition to being able to receive your order at home, you also have the option of picking it up at our store in the center of Malaga: Calle Císter, nº 4
