How were the first espadrilles born?
The espadrille is one of the accessories that has always been present in Mediterranean fashion but, do you know its history? They come from nothing less than ancient Egypt. Their first prototype was made of esparto and hemp. Later, the Romans added tapes to tie them.
When they arrived in our country, we made the last modifications and did them again from scratch, but this time covered with fabric. At first they were used in the countryside but then they became urban and used to go to the beach. That’s how he became the star shoe of the summer!
Tips to combine the male espadrille
The summer begins to knock on the door and it’s time to open. With it comes the season more powerful to use the most trendy complement: the espadrilles. We give you the keys to wear them both casually and in a semi-formal style.
The first thing you need to know is that they combine great with shorts! They are also ideal with jeans or skinny trousers, looks better with hem at ankle height.
For the top you can opt for any shirt, the soft colors will help you. In addition, the blazers are the best option to complete the look. It all adds up, so the accessories you use can have the same tone as your espadrilles. And you? How will you use them?
